DAF Stories on Location
Not everyone has the opportunity to visit the DAF Museum in Eindhoven, for example due to health or mobility issues. That is why the DAF Museum brings the stories of DAF directly to nursing homes and healthcare facilities in Eindhoven and the surrounding region.
In their own familiar environment, patients and residents are taken on a journey through DAF’s nearly 100-year history by one of our volunteers. Using historical photographs, iconic vehicles, and fascinating anecdotes, memories of the past are brought back to life. Many residents have a personal connection to DAF, the transport industry, or the development of Eindhoven as an industrial city.
Interaction and connection are at the heart of DAF Stories on Location. Our volunteers enjoy engaging with residents and inviting them to share their own DAF-related memories and experiences. Reminiscence can make a valuable and enjoyable contribution to the well-being of patients and residents, including people living with dementia.
Whenever possible, the volunteer arrives at the location in an authentic classic DAF vehicle. This often sparks recognition, curiosity, and meaningful conversations from the moment they arrive.

Would you like to organize DAF Stories on Location at your nursing home or healthcare facility? We would be happy to explore the possibilities with you. The programme is available for facilities in Eindhoven and within a radius of approximately 40 kilometres from the city.
The presentation lasts approximately 1.5 hours (by arrangement), and a fee of €100 applies to cover expenses. This fee contributes towards the volunteer’s time, transportation, and presentation materials.

Outside the Region
There may also be opportunities for facilities located outside the region. If your organisation is situated more than approximately one hour’s drive from Eindhoven, we may be able to offer an online version of a DAF Museum tour in collaboration with Vindiqu. Through a live stream, we can bring DAF’s history and stories directly to your location.
