Traffic Safety Zone
Learning by seeing and doing
At the DAF Museum, young visitors can learn how to handle various traffic situations in a playful way. In the specially designed DAF Traffic Safety Zone, we use modern teaching tools and interactive media to achieve this.
Here, we highlight different aspects of traffic knowledge and road safety. For example, there are videos about the blind spot around trucks and buses, as well as about behavior and dangers in traffic. In addition, we test knowledge of traffic rules in an accessible and engaging way.

For whom?
The lesson program is intended for schoolchildren.
Lesson Program
Schools can choose from three themes:
- Practicing traffic in dangerous situations
- Giving priority
- Blind spot
The program consists of a theory lesson, followed by a practical session and an interactive component. The practical part takes place on a life-sized intersection or roundabout. If the theme “blind spot” is chosen, a truck can also be made available. The interactive part uses modern media. The program also includes a scavenger hunt through the DAF Museum.
The program lasts approximately 2 hours and is supervised by traffic safety experts.
Special requests, points of attention, or specific traffic situations can be incorporated into the program.
Brabant Traffic Safety Label
By visiting the DAF Traffic Safety Zone, schools can earn extra points toward the Brabant Traffic Safety Label.
For more information, you can ask the traffic safety experts.
