Opening hours

The Museum is opened from Tuesday to and including Sunday, from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m.
Closed on Mondays, except for Easter Monday, White Monday and school holidays.

The Museum is closed on:

  • New Year's Day (1 January)
  • Easter Sunday
  • King's Day
  • Ascension Day
  • White Sunday
  • Christmas Day and Boxing Day
  • 31 December

 Children from 5 till 15 years and accompanied by an adult:  € 4,00

Payment may be effected by means of a bank card with PIN code.

There are special arrangements for primary schools that take part in the Traffic Education scheme.

A free hunt is available at the entrance for children aged 6-15; faultless completion of forms will be rewarded with a nice present.

The Museum Shop can be visited at all times without visitors having to buy a ticket!

Supporters of the Museum and one guest are admitted free of charge and are entitled to a 10% dicount on all the articles in the Museum Shop.

Groups

Group Visits

Groups of 25 persons or more can arrange their visit by prior appointment; visits outside the normal opening hours are possible too. If required, a guide will be available, but in this case the visit will have to be booked beforehand. An extra charge applies to guided tours outside the normal opening hours.

Lunches or buffet-dinners can be served in the Museum, usually provided by our outside caterer. Other arrangements are also possible.

The cost will be discussed before booking; apart from cashpayments, credit cards (EUROCARD or VISA) and bank cards with PIN code are accepted, in some cases payment by invoice may be allowed.

Route

How to get there

On foot:

The Museum is located in the centre of Eindhoven at about a fifteen-minute walk from the Central Railwaystation. The council has signposted the route to the Museum.

Using public transport:

Bus number 5 from the bus station (at the rear of the railway station) stops stops in front of the Museum (Tongelresestraat, near the lift bridge).

By car:

Coming from the direction of:

Antwerp (on the A67):

Take the A67 towards Eindhoven. Bear left on the Leenderheide roundabout and you will pass under the motorway towards Eindhoven. Carry straight on after the roundabout (Floralaan). Turn right at the second set of traffic lights (ringroad). Turn left at the second set of traffic lights past the bridge across the Eindhoven Canal (Tongelresestraat). You will find the DAF Museum on the right near the lift bridge where the Tongelresestraat ends.

Helmond (on the A270 & N270)

Take the A270 (and N270) towards Eindhoven as far as the roundabout with the traffic lights, take the third exit towards the railway viaduct. After the viaduct, turn right at the traffic lights. You will find the DAF Museum on the right near the lift bridge where the Tongelresestraat ends.

's Hertogenbosch (on the A2)

Take the A2 motorway towards Eindhoven. When close to Eindhoven, go on to the A58 towards Helmond. Turn right at the traffic lights (just after the IKEA on the left) into the John F. Kennedylaan. Turn left at the next set of traffic lights (towards Helmond). Turn right at the next set of traffic lights that will come next after passing the twin tunnel under the railwayline: Tongeleresestraat. You will find the DAF Museum on the right near the lift bridge where the Tongelresestraat ends.

Nijmegen (on the A50)

Take the A50 towards Eindhoven. Carry straight on at the traffic lights (at the end of the A50) into the John F.Kennedylaan. Turn left at the next set of traffic lights (towards Helmond). Turn right at the next set of traffic lights that will come next after passing the twin tunnel under the railwayline: Tongeleresestraat. You will find the DAF Museum on the right near the lift bridge where the Tongelresestraat ends.

Maastricht (on the A2)

Friends of the DAF Museum Foundation

Become a supporter, friend or sponsor of the 'Friends of the DAF Museum Foundation' to help expand and maintain the vehicle collection. The Foundation takes an active part in optimising and perfecting presentation, maintenance and technical specifications.

You can become a supporter for an annual fee of € 24,- which entitle you to:

  • free admission for two as long as the visitor's pass is valid
  • 10% discount on all your purchases in the Museum shop
  • a twice-yearly newsletter about the Museum

Volunteer staff

Volunteer staff

The Museum is run on a day-to-day basis by volunteer staff. They receive you at the reception, take you on a guided tour and pour you a cup of coffee.

They like to make you feel at home in the Museum. If you like to join them as a volunteer, please contact the DAF Museum for an appointment.

Archive

The DAF archive

The Museum has an extensive archive where you can find almost all the answers to your questions, whether of a technical nature or otherwise. The more accurate you formulate your questions, the better we will be able to help you.

It is possible to order copies, for a fee, of anything that has to do with the history of DAF.

Access to the archive can be requested by mail or by telephone.
